Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How to access your self-paced CAPE course?
A: A link to the program will arrive in your email, click on that link and start the course when and where you want.

Q: How long do I have access to the self-paced programs?
A: For self-guided programs, you will have guaranteed access for 6 months starting on the date of registration.

Q: Are all CAPE programs self-paced?
A: Some are self-paced, some are asynchronous, some are designed to be in-person, but are currently virtual due to COVID.

Q: Are St. Thomas faculty part of the program process?
A: St Thomas faculty are involved in many CAPE programs, sometimes as facilitators, subject-matter experts, or instructors. We also work with external resources depending on the program. We assemble the best team of resources available, to achieve the best outcome.

Q: What is the Payment and Refund Policy?
Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or combine program events that are below the minimum participant requirement. Should a cancellation occur, CAPE staff will contact the participant about the cancellation or about any alternative program event(s).

For self-paced online courses or programs: No refunds will be granted

Scheduled and Facilitated online courses or programs: If you withdraw from a course or program before the scheduled start date, you will receive a 100% refund. No refund is given for withdrawals made after the scheduled the course start date. If CAPE cancels a course, you receive a 100% refund of all fees.

We understand that some circumstances may prevent you from attending your scheduled courses. If you are unable to withdraw before the course start date, you can contact CAPE to request a one-time use voucher to register for the same course in a future offering at no additional charge.
